So I’m stuck house sitting.  I hate house sitting.  It sounds fun and all, but if I like sitting in MY house.  Different bed, different walls, different noises, its always either too hot or too cold.  And most of the time I’m so bored I’d rather just sleep than be awake.  Sure I love sleep just as much if not more than the average person.. but one of my favorite aspects of sleep … TIME TRAVEL.

When I was a teenager and had to live with my dad for the summer I was so miserable, I slept more than anyone really should.  But, the more I slept the faster the day or night went.  The faster those went, the faster I’d get to go home.  So do I want to go to bed at 9p.m. on a Saturday night?  Of course not, but the sooner I go to sleep.. the sooner I wake up and get to take my curmudgeony self home.

Sad? Yes I’m sure it sounds really sad.  I’m sure some people love house sitting, or just different surroundings in general.  They make me uneasy.  I like the known, the routine.  There was a time I frequented the Waffle House so much that all the waitresses knew my name and brought coffee over soon as I came in.  Like the Norm of Waffle House.  It was fantastic.
